5 letters, 5 post-its, 3 pictures, and 1 happy girl..

that's right! got another batch of letters from austen a few days ago, and they did not disappoint! (they never do.)

i got 3 envelopes which contained 5 letters, 5 post-its, and 3 pictures.
i wish i could share the pictures with you, but i have no scanner.. i'll have to figure something out later. but the post-its were some of my favorite parts. he stuck them all over random parts of letters and pictures.

"i realized that these 2 letters might be some of the 'gayest' and cheesiest things i have ever written. enjoy!"

and my personal favorite.. (he attached this to a sheet of 12 stamps)..

"here are some extra stamps that i'm giving you. if you want to use them to send me a letter you have to use 3 of them! or when these run out you will have to go to the post office to buy international stamps"

yeah, i have written him AT LEAST one email every week since he left back in august, so it's not like i haven't been a faithful "whatever i am" but i think he's really itching for some real mail. and i'm so proud of myself, because in the last 24 hours i've handwritten a letter to him, and also one to mal, and i plan on emailing nate tomorrow!

i miss these boys terribly.

so, about this elephant in the room..

okay, not that anyone besides my mom and best friend read this blog or anything.. but in case my future children read it someday or something, i figure i should clear this up:

turns out, i only stayed in utah for a week before deciding it wasn't for me and coming home.
and that's all i have to say on the matter.

well, that and- indiana has never looked so good :)

the coolest thing since sliced bread

these are 2 of my older cousins, mal and nate.
they are my heroes.
they are some of my very best friends.
and they are very special.
because it takes a special kind of person to put their personal life on hold for 2 years to go on a mission for our church and spread the gospel.

nate has been out for almost a year already. he's serving in Chile, and from what i understand, he absolutely loves it there.

malachi is still currently in the states at the Provo MTC preparing to go to Russia in a few months.

i have grown up with them.
i have admired them.
i have thought for as long as i can remember that they are the coolest thing since sliced bread.
and i feel so thankful to have these men in my life to set such good examples for me.
i love them so so much.

top left: me 1 yr, nate 2 yrs, mal 3 yrs

maybe..

..i wait too long to paint my nails after my polish starts to chip.

..i have watched the office on dvd over and over and over again for almost a month now.

..John Krasinski is my dream man.

..my hair is a curly, crazy mess, but i'm starting to like it that way.

..i'm addicted to makeup.

..i have the color scheme for my wedding picked out (and too many other details to even mention) when no one has even put a ring on my finger yet.

..i have a ton of ideas for blog posts, but i always forget to post them.

..i will try to be better about that.

12+14=26

it's funny how life works out sometimes.

this is a story about a something.
it is a something that my 17 year old self knew and believed without a shadow of a doubt.
something that my 18 year old self lost sight of.
the same something that my 19 & 1/2 year old self started to remember.
and the something that my 19 & 3/4 self tried to resist.
something that my 20 year old self is waiting for.
and something that only my 21 year old self will be able to confirm.

and in case you forgot, i'm still just 20.
so, my 21 year old self will have to get back to you on this.

T-18(ish) hours

that's right, i'm moving in less than 24 hours.
halfway across the country.
and what am i doing right now?
i'm sitting in the living room by myself, because my dad is packing to go with me, trev is still sleeping, austin is with his friends, and my mom decided to go couponing.

awesome.
