#dilema..(dilemma? one "m" or 2?)

my thoughts are completely all over the place right now. there is no real point to this blog post other than the fact that i wanted to blog.

1. the other night, me and my brother austin decided we wanted mcdonald's. at 12:30am. we jumped in the car and went through the drive-thru, and it was the best mcdonalds i've ever had. the only downside to it is this- i realized that in a month and a half, i won't be able to do that with my brothers anymore. because we'll be 2,000 miles apart. don't tell them i said this, but being away from my brothers is in the top 3 of my list of things that will be the hardest about moving.

2. annoyance of the day- (there are 2, actually)
a) when people say "lol".. i don't know why it annoys me, because i use "haha" all the time. but to me, that sounds less stupid.
b) when people text you but have nothing to say, and as a result make you feel like you have to carry the conversation. if you don't have anything to say, why are you texting me in the first place?

3. i found the perfect cross-body bag today at american eagle! mustard yellow, not too big, not too small.. juuuuust right! i also got an aqua change purse to put inside instead of a wallet, AND i got a new watch band for my watch! my watch from there with the interchangeable bands is probably one of my all time favorite accessories. LOVE IT!

4. for some reason, i'm seriously craving jelly bellys right now. i don't know why, because i never have those. i'm going to have to track some down tomorrow, because i can't stop thinking about them.

5. i'm so tired, but my mind just won't shut down long enough for me to fall asleep. it's going to be a long night.

mockingjay

a few days ago, i finished Mockingjay which is the final book in The Hunger Games trilogy. it was so good! i didn't necessarily like everything that happened in it, but i think that's what made it more realistic.

i won't give too much away, because i don't want to spoil it for anyone that might read it, but i will say that i thought the ending was somewhat abrupt. that being said, i was pretty happy with the way things worked out.

seriously cannot wait until the movies start coming out! so excited to see who finally lands the role of Katniss. (and Peeta <3)>

the beauty of tv boyfriends

after spending a good hour crying over a real life guy tonight, i realized why i have what my friends and family (and i) refer to as my "tv boyfriends" in the first place.

none of my tv boyfriends would ever make me cry.

style

i recently purchased and read Style by Lauren Conrad, and completely fell in love with it.
it's all about using basic staples to build your own wardrobe that's customized to your own personal style. in her book, she lists key basics that should exist in every wardrobe.

from now until i own every single one of those pieces, i won't purchase clothing that isn't on the following list:

LITTLE BLACK DRESS
in my search for the perfect LBD, i'll be focused on finding one that can be extremely dressed up as well as totally dressed down.

JEANS
obviously, i already own jeans. but i will buy one more great pair that i absolutely love.

COLLARED BUTTON-DOWN
my goal is to find a great, tailored, white one.

SKIRT
one that can be dressed up or down and is neutral enough to go with tons of different colors and shoe styles.

BOOTS
i'm listing these because it's part of the list, however i just bought a FANTASTIC pair for my birthday, so i can cross these off the list. i'll post a picture later.

WHITE AND BLACK TOPS
i'll be looking for one of each.

BLACK HEELS
hopefully i can find a comfy pair!

BLAZER
i do own one blazer already, but it's bold and doesn't go with a lot. i'm dying to get a plain black boyfriend blazer that has sleeves rolled up between the elbow and wrist. i believe Lauren Conrad designed one for Kohl's, so i'll definitely be looking into that.

COAT
i won't purchase another one until next fall/winter (so yes, i'll buy other stuff before this list is totally finished) but when i do, i'll be looking for either a solid peacoat or a faux leather bomber jacket.
